Véronique TRILLET-LENOIR is a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. As rapporteur of the European Parliament’s special committee on Beating Cancer, she is responsible for defining the Parliament’s position on the EU Cancer plan proposed by the European Commission. Vice-coordinator for the Renew Europe group in the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee, she is also seating in the Employment and Social Affairs Committee as a substitute member. She chairs the MEPs Against Cancer group in the European Parliament, gathering more than 120 Members from different political groups.
University Professor and Public service Medical Doctor by profession, she holds medical and biological degrees. She has experiences as a clinician, teacher and researcher as well as President of a French Cancer cluster and Administrator of the French National Cancer Institute. She was a Member of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Assembly from 2015 to 2021.
